Early Christmas

Daughter #2 had a parcel delivered which I have collected and dutifully handed over to her when she returned home. Unlike other parcels that were delivered, she quickly unwrapped it and handed it to me. It was a FITBIT (Charge 4) watch to monitor my physical activities. Said a quick goodbye to my current watch (can't be wearing two watches at the same time !!) before putting it aside.

A quick setup to sync with my phone and was ready to go. Told myself that I need to justify for it, so was consciously monitoring it for the last 5 days. Achieving the 10,000 steps a day was not too difficult but as expected, failed miserably in the Sleep Department (one of the prime reason for feeling tired in the day). Guess the gift placed me on immediate watch of the "zzzz" division. Here's for once wish that I can just doze off !!

Excitement day for the twins

Outing to the River Safari was filled with excitement for the twins. Seeing fishes,  birds, panda, river wild life with lots of running space. Even to look into a crocodile's mouth was an experience for Eze. Sister, Elly was a little more cautious, just touching its nose was close enough. With their extra batteries used up, they had a quick shut-eye for their afternoon nap. Adults were equally tired out too !!!.

4 generation of LEGO

Grew up with LEGO.  Making own imaginative toys as the collection grew over time. Having outgrown it, it was pass on to my Brother-in-law. Then came my children and the uncle pass it to them. Now, it's the grandkids turn to fiddle around with the larger LEGO pieces. (The smaller ones will come by when they gets older). Though the innovative toy has evolved over time, the concept of making your own play stuff remains. Great stuff !!Go LEGO, Go !!!

On their feet

They have both found their footing and purpose for shoes. Ability to be mobile also means that keeping an eye on both becomes more challenging as they do not necessarily be heading in common directions. Not our idea of safe distancing. Handcuffs and bail money should be needed soon.

Work From Home (WFH) routine

With DORSCON Orange, the office commenced Work From Home (WFH) routine to minimise contact between staff. It started with "those who drives" vs "those who are using public transport".  However with the number of cases escalating by the days, decision was taken to have ALL STAFF to work from home. The first week was most disruptive, as files that were needed for reference were not available, printouts not possible and a virtual office in the home was hastily setup. Started with a laptop, at various locations but eventually to a more permanent layout, with all the stationeries in place.
When the weather was reasonably cooler (like after a rain/drizzle), the patio was a great place to work with lots of fresh air but as the days got warmer, hot and humid, its back to the make-do office in the room, with multiple screens for checks and video calls whilst crafting out responses.
Great part of WFH is the lesser need to be in office attire. More opportunities for home cook meal and the need to commute to/from work. Perhaps, the start of a new working concept for the Centre. Need lesser workspace and greater time management.

Grand son of my Year !!

On "Stay Home Notice" (actually stay away from school notice, owing to some rashes), took Eze-boy for a short walk, eyeing all the birds in the area. When finally asked him, How was his day ? Out came his tongue was the answer. How not to be accorded the "grand son of my year" award ?!!! (No other competitor !!) Go Eze, Go !!!

Grand daughter of my Year !!

Not often are we in co-ordinated outfit and well behave (applies to me too !! not tickling her !!). A rare opportunity for a "must have" photo moment for the grand daughter of my year shot. (PS: only have one grand daughter .... sure win one !!). Will seek another opportunity to feature grand son of my year, next. (PS2: Also one in the competition !!). Maybe a favourite daughter-in-law feature too. Stay tuned !!

Eze's first steps

After several attempts at standing up, Eze finally took his unaided steps, happily wobbling around. Now Mommy have two little ones running around (hopefully in the same direction). Well done, Eze boy !!

Elly's First Step

Elly had a fall off the parent's bed. Nose bled and was rushed to the hot[ital to ensure that she was OK. Fortunately, all was well (Thank God !!!). Though they missed the family get together, Elly had her first "demo walk". With the royal wave, she took her first 7 steps to show that she was just fine. Old teochew saying "If you don't fall down, one cannot grow up !!!". She fell that morning and grew up very quickly. What an episode for the 1st day of the Lunar New Year of the "Mischievous RAT" !!!

The parents made it !!!

It was like "not too long" ago when this two little ones came into this world, one wrapped in PINK and the other in LIGHT BLUE towels. Watched them grow as the days and weeks sailed by..... as they started to flip around, clapped their hands, tumbled and fall over, had their increase in milk dosage and to some form of solid food. As 9 Jan 2020 drew nearer, it was like .... can't wait till they turn ONE being their major milestone in life. Equally reaching that milestone are the parents, managing TWINS. Nowhere in the marriage certificate gave them an instant course to manage two little ones at the same time. Glad they made it too, to jointly celebrate/mark the occasion.
