When first told that Aaron-James is in the 70th MIDS, it suddenly donned on me that many years had just slipped away so quickly. This class is some 66 batches away from my single digit 4th MIDS. It didn't seem too long ago when we set sail for the MIDS Training Cruise onboard the County Class LST, RSS ENDURANCE to a couple of Indonesian ports and to Darwin, Australia. Now, at more than twice the cruising speed, MIDS sea training can go further within the same time frame (also to Indonesian and Australian ports (Sydney) but much further away.
Sending him off at CNB was more like a trip down memory lane, especially when familiar faces popped up along the passageways, along the gangway and by the wharf. Yeap, its GO NAVY and he is now a part of the bigger NAVY Family. Welcome abroad !!!
