INNOVATIVE !!! Ya ? These are actually bedroom slippers. Probably a gentle reminder of what my feet will look like when the weighing scale cries out loud for me to get off it. Nice visual impact of what it may look like, complete with water retention. What will they think of next ? (Rounder tummy ???!!)

Navy Family Re-Union

Familiar faces .... definitely !!! Name ... errr !!!??? (Almost there !!) For the traditional Naval Family gathering during the Lunar New Year, it has been one to catch-up with old friends, previous bosses and fellow buddies. Most have already surpassed their "half a century" ... years of existence. Whilst some still have similar smiley faces, their "silhouette" have evolved over time. Rounder at various places (cannot mention where !!), silver hair, grey hair, less hair, no hair, etc ... Selective memory maybe the order of the day. In most of the conversation, recalling of previous work stuff .... not so fore-coming .... but remembering all the naughty things done together ... crystal clear !!! Even some names were lost in space !!! ... the blank ..."you rrrrrr ?" look seem to be the common feature for some at the gathering. Maybe, name tags could be introduced at the next gathering ... but these have to be at FONT SIZE 18 or larger. Unlike many other gatherings, food was not in the priority list. The beer and wine department seem more in demand. Guess its difficult to have a decent conversation with food still hibernating in the mouth. Seem like, it was more fashionable to just hold a plate in the hand than having its content navigating its way upwards ... (maybe thats why some found its way to the floor !!)
On the whole, the 2-hr get together was a pleasant meet-up session. Great to have caught up but more importantly, renewed the memory sector for many .... (RAM not so good over time !!)
