Finally got a good view and experienced the famous HaLong Bay at Vietnam. If one rates the James Bond Island off Phuket, Thailand as "good", a glimpse of the many rock-islands at HaLong Bay would place JB Island way below par. Its amazing how these natural rock-islands form itself over the years to be what it is today. It was worth the 3.5 hour journey from Hanoi.

Roadside Seafood
After 4 days of "Pho" @ Hanoi and proper served meal, the 3-hr trip to HaLong Bay saw roadside seafood dinner with our new found Vietnamese friends. With BBQ clams and oysters with specially prepared sauce, we had our fill of seafood galore. Certainly, a world of difference from the city life at Hanoi.

Meal @ the Patio
There were lots of unpacking since 2 May 11 when we have moved the bulk of the items from Yi Mei Gardens and Grandma's place to the new home. Boxes after boxes of surprises were found in the process. Many interesting discoveries and many items were also discarded,
With the living room and dinning room still dominated by loose items, a meal at the patio was most appropriate. Under the moonlight and floodlight, "tau-pau Peranakan food" seem to be a great way to dine. Sarah joined us to watch us eat via Skype.

The morning after
Not too long ago, Paul the "Sotong" made prediction on who will be the winner of football matches during the world cup series. Floating around in cyberspace then, came this picture of Paul predicting who will win the next General Election. Didn't think much of it till the morning of 8 May 11 when the result of the 7 May, GE Result hit the headlines. "WP won Aljunied GRC" ... It suddenly donned on me that Paul was referring to where I was living. No wonder that "sotong" didn't live very long, after the World Cup prediction. It would have been the next "Sambal Sotong" dish to the 45% of the voters ....
