Catching up

It was almost like a "blast from the past" when Elsie had a call from Henry Kwek, our dentist pal. We have planned to meet many times but had somehow failed miserably owing to your respective schedule. Whilst meeting up with her classmates, Henry came across a mutuall friend and made the connection. After having realised that the phone number which he had was incorrect, the decision to meet was even greater. The date was set and dinner was on our schedule.Met at the APPLEBEES for a hearty western meal followed by the "must have" coffee at THE BLACK. Had lots of fun recalling the silly things that we have done along the way and the developments in our lives. (A "hamster" even came into the conversation on how to prolong life). On the whole, a great evening catching up !!!

New Driver on the Road

Received an SMS from Sarah-Marie this afternoon. It read ,,, "Dad !! I've passed my driving !!!". Dad's immediate reply ... "Oh no !! How could Aussieland do this to me ?!!! Haha !!!" (Drama !!!) Passing is just the first step for her. She could require a further 25 hours of driving under a licensed driver within the next 6 months to complete the entire process. Guess its another driver on the road !!! Congrats !!!!

Raining @ home

Claire was not joking when she called to say .... Dad !!! "Its raining in our bathroom". Having heard of "Flooding in Orchard Road", thought it was just a figure of speech. None-the-less, rushed home to take a look. It was not only raining but it was also like an in-house sauna. The hot water system had a leak and hot water was dripping from the ceiling. The entire bathroom was all steamed up !!!. Had to quickly activated William (our contractor) for damage control. After some checks, the cause was attributed to the boiler thus it had to be replaced. Another episode in our daily life !!!
