The first activity after checking-in at the City Stay Apartment was to the Strawberry Fields where some 2.5 kg was plucked. This was followed by an open air lunch under the shade of a hugh tree .... the Aussie way.

Grandma transferred to the ECON Nursing Home
After some 2 weeks at Alexandra Hospital, grandma was finally transferred to a private nursing home at Recreation Road. The ambulance from ECON arrived on time and the transfer was most professionally done. Can't exactly say the same for the efficiency of the hospital's discharge procedure. Whilst the staff nurse tried her best and was most accommodating, the efficiency level for discharge had certainly provided the sour bitter taste of teamwork and left a lasting impression.
Though scheduled for discharge since last Sunday, some miscommunication took place between the home and the hospital that eventually caused a two day delay. Her discharge is no secret and everyone was geared for it .... except the ones that were responsible to provide the discharge papers. 50 minutes after the agreed discharge time (actually, its 2 days + 50 minutes), they were still trying to get the discharge papers in place. Ambulance was on time, the medication were ready, the nurses were ready but ..... the "professionals" weren't !!!
