Like in the JAG scene, lots of uniformed personnel walking about, with large naval vessels in the background. Could just imagine the little green words flashing across the bottom of the screen, stating the location and the Date-Time-Group (DTG) in Z time. It was a wonderful cold experience.

After some 25 hrs of flight (from Singapore via Narita & Detriot to Providence), arrived Newport, Rhode Island, in the late Sunday evening, to be greeted by a 8-10 deg C temperature and a warm welcome by CDR Sandra Selman from the US Naval War College. After another 45 mimute drive, was finally at the much heard-off Newport, Naval Station, where the Naval War College (NALWARCOL) is. Accommodated at the Navy Lodge, it was to be "the home away from home" for the next 3 days.
