Ex-ISCP Pals meet-up !!!

After a good TWO and a HALF years of lay off from GOLF, the ex-ISCP Team of the 10th ISCP Anniversary celebration decided to have a Golf Session at Southlink Country Club @ Batam. Clarence Sundrum who was supposed to fly in from Jakarta the night before, got stuck at the Indonesian capital owing to a lack of flights to return home. Julian (from Sa Rang Bang Korean Restaurant), stood in to join the flight for a late afternoon game.

Kerby who had been the ISCP coordinator had been the one who orgnaises everything but have not played a proper game so the flight was his very first. With only 2 and half set of golf clubs (I brought half and Kerby with none), we had a good time recalling all the past events under the ISCP Programme of yester-years.

That evening, we met up with our Indonesian Navy counter-part to re-kindle old ties over Korean Ginseng Chicken and Red Wine.... and of course with Clarence Sundrum, finally joining us for the meal/meet-up.

Urban jungle boy

It all started as a "theme" for a birthday party. Son scrambling for costumes to look like a "goodness knows what". With my souvenir hat from Vietnam and his green stripe T-shirt ... emerged an "urban jungle boy" ... right inthe living room.

The final outcome, he turned up in a long sleeve black "shanghai collar" shirt and jeans. Absolutely NO IDEA what he is suppose to represent. (Should have kept Grandpa's old baggy pyjamas. Would probably be useful one of these days for a goodness knows what theme party !!!)

More surprises !!!

Barely 2 months from the last "surprised party", a 2nd one was staged on 1 Mar 08 (about a week earlier) for Richard. Chief planner/executer ... the wife "Julie". Aside from the family and godfamily, the annual X'mas/CNY party group were present to mark the occasion. All went reasonally well, except for a "little" late arrival of "someone" (No names mentioned) which gave hint to the near perfect surprise. (Anyway, it was the thought and effort that counts !!)
With the various group taking photos with the birthday "boy" (more for attendance taking), the merry making begins.... food, wine ... more food ... more wine !!!
The final shot (a must) with Julie, Avril & Malcolm.
