The Falcon Princess was the venue for an unusual event. Chairperson, Ms Yvonne Chiam wanted something different to hold an event for Cancer Patients who had fought their health challenges to emerge stronger through care-giver and mutual support.
So, on 2 Jun 07, Yvonne together with her team and an overwhelming number of participants boarded the ferry from the HarbourFront Cruise Center for an evening to the Southern Islands (Kusu Island, to be specific). Filled with drum beats, songs & dances, a hearty meal and merry making, all participants had a wonderful and memorable time on board. Guest-of-Honour, Dr Fatimah Lateef acknowledged the support of care-givers who remain steadfast in providing moral and material support to their love ones in their hours of despair.
It was certainly an event to mark each and every individual's personal success in facing their health challenge.
