The Scout Movement was founded by Lord Baden-Powell (BP) in 1907. It all started with 20 boys from a variety of backgrounds going to Brownsea Island (in Poole Harbour, UK) for the first ever Scout Camp. The Scout Movement have since been developed over the years and became an International Organisation. Today the Scout Movement has over 25 million members and is still growing.

It has been said that "Once a Scout, always a Scout". Though it has manifested in various form, the saying has proven itself, over and over again. Ten decades after

the Brownsea Island adventure, the spirit of scouting still lives on. Present and Ex-Scout gathers at least once a year to 22 February to mark

"Founder's Day". The Guides and Brownies too mark the day (known to them as "Thinking Day"). As Feb 07 happened to be during the Lunar New Year festive month,

traditional "Loh-Hae" kicked start the get together for a hearty Chinese New Year meal. Guess ... all were "Prepared" for various forms of surprises. Anytime is a good time to meet up with Brother Scouts & Sister Guides.
